Non-Degree Seeking
Students who have not earned a Bachelor's degree and wish to enroll in courses at Texas State may be considered for admission as a non-degree seeking student.
Non-degree seeking students are:
- Students who enroll in courses only at the undergraduate level without pursuing a degree at Texas State
- Planning to enroll in courses for one semester before returning to another institution (transient)
Non-degree seekers are limited to a total of 24 semester hours and must reapply for admission each semester. Credit earned as a non-degree seeking student will not be considered for future admission to Texas State, but may be considered for degree purposes only after the student has reapplied and met general admission requirements. Those admitted under this option are not eligible for Financial Aid. For more information on admission requirements and application procedures, visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions webpage.
Students who have earned a Bachelor's degree and wish to enroll in undergraduate courses should apply for admission as non-degree seeking through The Graduate College.
