Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Major in Health Sciences (Emergency Medical Services Concentration) -Accelerated Online Program

Admission Requirements
- Successful completion of the Texas State general education core curriculum
- Hold an unencumbered Paramedic certification or license in any US state or hold a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification as a Paramedic
- Must be admitted to Texas State University https://www.admissions.txst.edu/
- Official college transcripts from all universities attended
General Requirements
The program can be completed as an Accelerated Online Program (AOP).
- This major requires an individualized plan of study based on each student’s past learning experiences and future career goals. All students will be admitted into the BSHS major.
- If two years of the same modern language are taken in high school, then no additional language hours will be required for the degree. In the absence of modern language taken in high school, then two semesters of the same modern language (1410 and 1420) must be taken at the college level, and the requirement will be added to the student's degree audit.
- Students must complete a minimum of 36 advanced hours (3000 or 4000 level courses).
- Nine semester credit hours must be writing intensive (WI).
