The Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education, and School Psychology (CLAS) offers a Bachelor in General Studies with a Major in Integrated Studies. This degree allows students to develop an individualized degree plan from a range of disciplines across Texas State’s seven academic colleges. The department also offers a Minor in Human Resource Development and Training and the popular COUN 3320 Introduction to Counseling & Psychotherapy.

COUN 3320. Introduction to Counseling and Psychotherapy.

The course is designed for upper-division undergraduates considering a helping profession or who wish to know more about counseling before entering into graduate study. The course offers introduction to counseling, counseling theories, and interpersonal communication skills that facilitate counseling relationships. Repeatable for credit with different emphasis.
