  1. If two years of the same foreign language were taken in high school, then no additional language hours will be required for the degree. In the absence of such high school language, two semesters of the same modern language must be taken at the college level.

Math requirements may be satisfied by taking MATH 2321 and MATH 2328, or MATH 2321 and MATH 2331, or MATH 2471 and MATH 2472

BIO 4299 requires faculty and departmental chair approval to count toward the advanced electives. Biology advanced electives cannot include: BIO 3351, BIO 4305, BIO 4402, BIO 4403, and BIO 4408.

A minimum of 9 writing intensive hours and a total of 36 advanced hours are required to graduate.


Recommended minor is chemistry or biochemistry. Minor and electives should be chosen in consultation with the academic advisor.
