Minor in Communication Studies

A student who minors in communication studies should have completed at least 18 undergraduate semester hours of course work in communication studies (COMM).

A minor in communication studies requires a minimum of 12 semester hours of graduate-level COMM courses. The department encourages communication studies minors to take course work from both rhetorical and behavioral perspectives to gain a broad perspective of the communication studies discipline.

Students may take COMM courses as part of a resource or cognate area. Students who wish to take course work in communication studies that is not part of an approved minor should consult with the instructor of the course or the communication studies graduate advisor.
