General Requirement

  1. If two years of the same foreign language were taken in high school, then no additional language hours will be required for the degree. In the absence of such high school language, two semesters of the same modern language must be taken at the college level.

Math requirements may be satisfied by taking MATH 2321 and MATH 2328, or MATH 2321 and MATH 2331, or MATH 2471 and MATH 2472.

Fifteen hours of advanced BIO electives are required of which 11-12 hours must be chosen from: BIO 3430 (fall), BIO 3442, BIO 4326/BIO 4126, BIO 4350R (spring), BIO 4366/BIO 4166, BIO 4446 (spring), BIO 4447 (fall), BIO 4448 (spring), BIO 4480 (fall), or BIO 4413 (fall) Junior year - 2nd Semester.

BIO 4447 can only be used to satisfy the physiology requirement or the advanced microbiology course requirement, but not both.

A minimum of 9 writing intensive hours and a total of 36 advanced hours are required to graduate.

Recommended minor is chemistry or biochemistry. Minor and electives should be chosen in consultation with the academic advisor.
