ELAR 1300. Integrated Reading and Writing.
This course provides students with specialized instruction in vocabulary, reading comprehension, critical reading, study skills, and test-taking skills based on their TSI-A scores. The course integrates reading and writing to support the development of transferable academic literacy skills and increased comprehension. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing as active, purposeful processes that support comprehension and academic performance. Concurrent enrollment in designated sections of general education courses is required. Credit earned for this course does not apply toward degrees offered by the university. Corequisite: ENG 1310 with a grade of "C" or better.
