INTS 2360. Personal Branding and Career Readiness.

This course examines the transition from collegiate study to professional pathways, with attention to the varied ways individuals prepare for entry into the workforce. Areas of inquiry include how people reflect on career goals, shape their professional identity, explore employment opportunities, build connections, and present their qualifications in professional contexts. Consideration is also given to the role of AI technologies in the development of application materials and professional communication. Through this exploration, students engage with factors that influence career planning and the formation of a professional presence.

INTS 4360. Integrated Career Preparation.

This course examines career exploration and professional development as the initial phase of a two-course capstone sequence. Emphasis is placed on structured self-assessment, analysis of labor market trends, and occupational research that informs evidence-based career planning. Students analyze personal knowledge, skills, abilities, and transferable competencies in relation to evolving career pathways and emerging technologies. Attention is given to professional communication and the development of foundational artifacts that document academic and applied learning. The course establishes analytical frameworks and portfolio components that support advanced integration and professional application in the subsequent capstone experience. Prerequisite: A minimum of 2.0 Texas State GPA and departmental approval.

INTS 4361. Integrated Career Portfolio.

This course engages learners in continued exploration and analysis of the integration and application of materials developed in the first capstone experience, with emphasis on the completion of a comprehensive digital career portfolio. Students examine strategies for navigating post-graduation employment pathways, including how to clearly articulate their qualifications, develop and maintain professional networks, and present their career identity effectively in workplace and organizational settings. The course also analyzes current job market trends, including the influence of AI technologies, and explores factors that shape the transition from college to professional practice. It culminates in the synthesis of key artifacts, reflective narratives, and career planning documents that demonstrate readiness for progression beyond the Bachelor of General Studies degree. Prerequisite: A minimum 2.0 Texas State GPA and INTS 4360 or GNST 4360 with a grade of "C" or better.
